ECF and Fall Training Update

We know it’s been awhile since we have communicated with you.  Ms. Rebecca Martin has retired and we already miss her terribly.  Please note, though, we’re still here for you.  We have been actively seeking new members to fill the vacancies in our E-rate team.  Their anticipated arrival is coming soon.  Please see below updates that we need to share with you.  Our newsletter is under construction and so we are using email until it has been rebranded.

ECF:

FCDLs began on September 24th with 28% of all applications across the country receiving approvals on their applications.  The FCC has committed to having 50% of the approvals out by October 15th.  This being said, many of you may have received or will be receiving approval shortly.  What does this mean?  You can file for reimbursement.  We will be holding a short webinar on How to File ECF F472 on Thursday, October 14th at 3:30pm.  Invitations will be sent to those that applied for ECF funding.

If you need to make a service substitution or wish to appeal decisions made, you have 30 days from the date of the FCDL to do so. You can find directions on the process on our website or contact us for assistance.

The second window for new F471 applications is open.  It will close on Wednesday, October 13th at 11:59.59pm.  For those of you that missed the first window or have additional Unmet Need, you can file applications through the EPC ECF portal.  Slide decks and presentations are available on our website.

E-rate:

FY22 is upon us.  For those schools with expiring WAN contracts, you should have started your RFP (if required) and begun collecting the information you need for your F470.  We will be holding a brief webinar on November 3, 2021 at 3pm on the new F470.

Training:

New to E-rate (three years or less experience) must attend all three sessions.

• November 1, 2021 – 3 – 4:30pm
• November 8, 2021 – 3 – 4:30pm
• November 15, 2021 – 3 – 4:30pm

Deadline Reminders:

The invoicing deadline for recurring services in FY20 is Thursday, October 28, 2021.  

For those of you that have received FCDLs for FY21 applications, you must file your F486.
