The following services and resources are provided by the NCDPI K-12 Cybersecurity Program and provided to PSUs at no cost to help execute the actions defined in the NC K-12 CORE Safeguards:

About K-12 Program Consulting

MCNC

MCNC’s team of expert consultants will helps you and your PSU effectively navigate different possible solutions to better understand which approaches work best. Their team is focused on working closely with your PSU and is dedicated to creating the best results.

MCNC consultants are subject matter experts with extensive knowledge and experience, and they are available to assist you and your organization with a wide range of network-related topics, such as designing, integrating, and maintaining a quality network.

As part of the School Connectivity Initiative program and collaboration among MCNC, NCDPI, Friday Institute, and NCDIT, PSUs also receive, at no additional charge, services for:

  • Network Advisory Consulting (or CNE) – Assistance with a wide range of network and security-related projects and issues; including comprehensive network assessments and wireless surveys.

Friday Institute

In addition to the Friday Institute operations and strategy roles within the NCDPI K-12 Cybersecurity Program, the group also provides numerous other consulting engagement opportunities such as:

NCLGISA

The IT Strike Team is a group of NCLGISA members that volunteer their time and talents to help out in times of need. The Strike Team has partnered with NC Emergency Management to provide IT support where needed in times of disaster but is also available to any NCLGISA member who needs more resources to address emergency issues. 

In addition, the IT Strike Team offers numerous technical services and consulting services on cyber-related questions for PSUs. 

CISA

CISA Cyber Assessment Services – Offers variety of testing and assessment services to public and private sectors, providing an objective view of cybersecurity strengths and weaknesses. They compile these insights into actionable reports to promote effective risk reduction measures
