About Cyber Security Response Force
The North Carolina National Guard CSRF mission is to conduct defensive cyberspace operations to support mission requirements as directed by The Adjutant General or Governor.
Specifically for North Carolina, the CSRF provides cyber security assistance to State, Local, and Critical Infrastructure providers.
Service Offerings
- Proactive Lines of Effort
- Cyber Hygiene Assessment – The Threat Intelligence Division provides cybersecurity hygiene assessments on networks, infrastructure, and policies
- Penetration Testing – The Penetration Testing Division simulates tactics, techniques, and procedures used by malicious actors to attempt to compromise agency security.
- Continuous Monitoring – Part of the Threat Intel Division, they provide monitoring for more than 150 agencies including state partners, county governments, and community colleges.
- Training and Outreach – Conduct in person and virtual regular training and table-top exercises with state partners across a variety of cyber security related matters.
- Reactive Lines of Efforts
- Cyber Incident Response – The Quick Reaction Support has trained Incident Responders who can lead agencies into initial triage and through the completed process
- Digital Forensics – Identify the attack vectors and root cause of the incident, as well as indicators of compromise to help prevent the attack from recurring.
