  • Data Privacy Week 2025 – January 27 – 31, 2025
    • The NCDPI K-12 Cybersecurity Program is proud to be a Data Privacy Week Champion.  The goal of Data Privacy Week is to spread awareness about online privacy.  Data privacy should be a priority both for individuals and organizations. During this time, our team will be sharing a variety of resources with the PSUs community to help individuals understand that they have the power to manage their data and help organizations understand why it is important that they respect their users’ data.  To get started, we encourage PSUs to check out the Stay Safe Online Data Privacy Week website for an outline of upcoming events and available resources.
  • NC K-12 Cybersecurity Community Mailing List – Coming January 2025
    • The North Carolina K-12 Cybersecurity Community email list is a new initiative that we are excited to launching in January 2025.  This mailing list will serve as a central platform for sharing important updates, discussing cybersecurity strategies, fostering a collaborative environment, and improving cybersecurity awareness and preparedness across PSUs.  The mailing list is a key component of the NCDPI K-12 Cybersecurity Program, acting as a hub for communications related to this initiative. It will allow cybersecurity leaders, administrators, and IT staff across the state to share best practices, tools, and resources. The core team will provide updates on upcoming events, current events, critical advisories, and other relevant content. Community members will also have the opportunity to raise questions, share insights, and seek advice from their peers.  Keep an eye out for additional information and our formal launch at the beginning of the new year.
